Why NOT New York?
This Better Satellite World podcast series is based on panels conducted at the live New York Space Business Roundtable on September 18, 2024 in Ithaca, NY.
New York State has without fanfare (or being entirely aware) funded, conceptualized and developed a growing commercial Space industry. What differentiates the Empire State from other “Space economy” nations and states is the lack of recognition it receives, as well as coordinated policies to continue to build the industry into a genuine powerhouse for economic growth, business attraction and social development. The talent and ingredients are here as well as companies from Buffalo to Brooklyn working the sector.
In these podcasts, our panelists discuss how New York State has moved forward, the pace of its development and what it needs to really get this going faster.
